Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant escapism, good information   December 1, 2008
This book works well on a number of levels. I bought it during an out of season lust for snow and found it to be a wonderfully escapist read. The photos and writing style really place you well in each of the destinations. I also like the way the photos are not purely journalistic but quite 'social'.

Now that it's time to go skiing, the information packed into this book is helping me with new ideas achievable in an ambitious weekend. One criticism is that it does rather assume that you are starting your white weekend from London.

5 out of 5 stars can't afford to ski this year..? Then buy this book.   November 22, 2008
Great read - loads of information if you are planning a trip but not a chore to wade through, as with so many travel books... Nicely laid out information and great pics tho the matt paper makes them feel a bit flat. All in all in a good book - makes you think beyond the standard Brits one week in a catered chalet option.
Definitely recommended even if it's only to dream over in these credit crunch times...

4 out of 5 stars Ticks all the boxes   October 23, 2008
Makes a change to find a practical guide book which has such a good feel to it that it can just as easily be a coffee table book. Lovely quality with matt print and top photos. Suits the armchair skier as much as the hardcore! Will be giving this as an Xmas present to many keen skier friends who have everything!
