A Practical Introduction to Digital Command Control for Railway Modellers
Being new to digital command control I needed a book that would give me the basic know how to get up and running without the need to do a PhD in computer programming and electronics. This book more than met this need. Clearly written and with minimal technical jargon, Nigel Burkin takes you through the fundamentals of DCC, how to wire up a layout and how to install decoders into locomotives and other rolling stock. For the more adventurous and those with a more detailed understanding, there are also chapters on adding sound and layout programming. Easy to understand, this book helped me get my layout running in no time. DCC no longer seems an alien concept and is not nearly as complicated as some people make out. Definitely worth buying if you're new to DCC.
